Our campers arrive with all the everyday necessities one would pack when preparing to spend a week at camp. They also come with items unique to them—medicine, wheelchairs, feeding tubes. But Beau, who attended a camp for children with spina bifida, arrived with something more. A bucket list!

You can help provide countless children like Beau not only a place to check things off their bucket list, but a place to discover their abilities and see the sky’s the limit—Whispering Hope Ranch.

As we approach the busy holiday season, it’s easy to forget to slow down and appreciate those around us. Fortunately, there are days when we get a moment to recognize the people who have come alongside us on our journey.

Thanksgiving is one of those days.

We have much to be grateful for: our campers, family, friends, and the generous supporters who help impact the lives of children with special needs. For all the hope and healing we work to bring to the community, we humbly receive it back tenfold.

Many of you know the large part our animal residents play in bringing unconditional love and acceptance to our campers. They are the ❤️ of the WHR experience. You may also know that hay prices have increased dramatically, nearly 60% with no end in sight. But you can help! Purchasing an item from our Chewy Wish List for delivery directly to the Ranch helps offset rising hay costs! Rather "buy a bale" for our Nature's Nurses? With a heavy heart, we share that our beloved Black Beauty has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Slowing down lately due to age, she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Black Beauty came to Whispering Hope Ranch after being injured by an intruder at her former home. As a result, she lost her vision but was otherwise happy and healthy. For the past 15 years, she has touched the lives of thousands at Whispering Hope Ranch, always ready with a warm hug and unconditional love. You will be missed, sweet girl.

Have you "herd" about our latest group of voluntee

Have you "herd" about our latest group of volunteers?🦌 They did a fantastic job mowing the meadow in preparation for the next camp!

Fun Fact: Elk shed their antlers every spring and start growing a new set right away. Antlers can grow up to one inch/day, and a fully grown set can be as big as four ft. wide and up to 40 lbs. by summer's end!
